Carnatic music is one of the two styles of Indian classical music. Carnatic Music, which was based in South India, was substantially influenced by the pan-Indian bhakti movement which inspired the use of religious themes. In Carnatic music, the main emphasis is on vocal music and it rests on Raga & Thala.

Classes (Carnatic vocal) are grouped according to the ability of the students, with sessions for beginners, intermediates, and advanced students. Class sizes are kept small. This ensures personal attention from the teacher; the teacher is aware when a student is ready to advance.
